So my role at Nvidia is to help bring some of these products to market. And all of these are built using deep learning and machine learning. Like we've got Metropolis for a IVA, Drive for automotive Clara for for medical systems, Jarvis which we're going to talk about for conversational AI.

And overtime in video, you know, has announced and has released a lot of software products that take us into several different verticals.

Yeah, so I do Product Marketing on the product marketing for our deep learning products. Maybe just quickly talk a little bit about your role with the company and also sort of what is your day to day look like? you specialize in sort of the AI and deep learning side of things. Well, okay, so your head of Product Marketing at Nvidia, that's very cool. But there's something about it, you know, being out there, it's crisp. And you do need the right gear and everything. With the Windchill, I think and you know, it's pretty extreme. We get the nice bowl polar vortexes and it's like minus 40 a year or two ago is minus 55. I live in Chicago, it gets, you know, when we're really lucky.

I'm you know, it's not too many people I talked to that also like cold but I definitely like cold a lot. And whenever I can squeeze in the time I enjoy getting out as far as I can from the equators that's where you find it's cold and it's fun. It's not a typical place where you find a lot of people But anyways, but that's kind of how my fascination with being out in a lot of these places started about. And you know, I have found I enjoy being in really cold dark places, which is you know, when no one hiking, so if you tell me it's going to be really cold and we're going to get a lot of snow, you'll probably find me raising my hand. I've always been enamored by the mountains, I love being out there as much as I can. So tell me just really briefly a little more about this hiking thing. Yep, to build vehicle dynamics models and, and a bunch of the different toolkits or I forget what they call it in mathworks for MATLAB, but like the libraries, you can buy the like the signal processing, one and the control systems, one and all that. In fact, using some mathworks products back in the day, we use Simulink pretty heavily. And I also did a lot of, you know, machine learning and AI stuff. I was a race strategist and an Ind圜ar engineer. And then also, interestingly, you worked at mathworks in the past, and I don't know if you knew this, but I worked in Ind圜ar racing for like 1012 years. And we can't wait to get back there and check out different parts of the state because it's huge, as you know. But it was my wife and I's most favorite place we've pretty much ever been. I've only been to Alaska out of that list. Also, it seems you're an avid hiker, you've hiked over 3000 miles, I think it is in Alaska, Patagonia in Iceland, which is super cool. One is you've launched a lot of projects or products, something like 50 products throughout your career, which is impressive, to say the least. Just looking at your background, I found some really interesting things. So just real quick, before we really get going. But anyway, welcome said thank you so much for your time today and joining us. There's been a recent launch of a conversational framework that Nvidia put together called Jarvis will be diving into that a bit more shortly. And we got a lot of really cool things to talk about. He's the head of product marketing, particularly in the AI and deep learning area of things. I'm very excited today I'm joined by Sid Sharma from Nvidia. Hello, everyone and welcome to AI with Alex live.
